What is an Escape Room?

An escape room is a 60 minute fully immersive adventure game where players solve a series of puzzles and riddles using clues, hints, and strategy to complete the objectives at hand. Each group will have a personal game master available for guidance and hints!

Is this a part of a franchise?

Countdown 2 Escape is locally owned and operated by the Hammond family. We have been residents of Frisco since 1995 and love connecting and serving our neighbors.

What type of people enjoy Escape Rooms?

If you are looking for something different to do, you’ve found it! We have been able to host ladies night outs, bachelor parties, birthday parties, sports and corporate team building, and youth group outings. We have even helped facilitate marriage proposals! Kids over the age of 8 and adults alike all can enjoy our rooms.

Where do I park?

Parking is available right in front on Main Street with additional parking around back!

Where are you located?

We are located in the Heart of The Rail District in Historic Downtown Frisco. We are a couple doors down from to Summer Moon Coffee, and a block away from eight11.

Can you personalize for a special event?

We are happy to discuss what we can do to make your event special. We are customer focused, so just ask!

Will I actually be locked in the room?

The door you enter will always remain unlocked for safety reasons. You are free to leave and return to the room if necessary.

Are the rooms scary?

In our “What happened in Raven Woods”  C2E’s combines the twists and turns of an escape room and blends in some unexpected surprises  and creepy twists.  The end result?  Fun!  The room is played in the dark and some crawling is required.  This is not a haunted house.
The following effects are used: fog | strobe light | sudden prop movements

Please let your Gamemaster know if these effects cannot be used for health reasons.

Is the room kid-friendly?

Countdown 2 Escape can be a great time for kids 12 and over!  We host many birthday parties, team outings, and fun times with friends.  Our staff is trained to ensure your child has a wonderful and safe experience.
If Countdown 2 Escape was a movie, we think it would get a PG rating.  There is no profanity or inappropriate overtones- its good clean fun. If you have a specific concern, please write to us directly, and we’ll do our best to answer your question.

Will there be other people be in the room?

No. There will not be anyone else in the room. Once you book an event, it is a private event for you and your group.

How many people can the room hold? Can we bring an extra person?

Each escape room holds a different number of guests. The guest count is based on the physical size of the room. If you decide to add another guest after you have booked a room, that’s fine! The extra person can pay upon arrival.

What is the minimum number of people you recommend?

Our current minimum is four people to ensure that you’ll be able to complete the room successfully! You’re welcome to bring fewer than four, and we’ve had groups of even two complete the room. Please note that you will still be charged for the minimum number of participants needed to reserve the room.

Can I eat or drink in the rooms?

While we do not allow food in our rooms, we are a BYOB facility. So bring it!

Do you accept walk-ins?

Sadly, we do not.

Is the room handicapped-accessible?

Yes! Please write to us at or to discuss your specific needs if you have questions.

What if I don’t escape after an hour?

If you do not escape after one hour, your host will enter the room and show you the clues you missed.

Is photography allowed?

Photography is allowed and encouraged in our comfy lobby, but not in the escape rooms in order to protect the integrity of the puzzles.

What is your refund policy?

You can always reschedule your experience for a later time or date if needed.
If you choose to purchase the Cancellation Insurance for $5,  you will be able to cancel until 24 hours before your scheduled event and receive a full refund. If you choose to cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled event, you can receive a 50% refund. A cancellation without cancellation insurance will forfeit your non refundable deposit.
